Named for the queen of the modern screen- Viola Davis, we are so proud of this suit and how it came together. If you know the story of Viola Davis, she is the definition of the statement "beauty for ashes". So we wanted to create a suit that reflected that. How so you might ask?

Well the original fabrication and ideation for this suit was 5 years in the making. We originally wanted to release this suit in 2020 and so began creating it in 2019. And then COVID happened. The world shut down and with that we lost an amazing fabric vendor along with the original fabric meant for this suit. It was a black and white houndstooth velvet, smooth to the touch and easy on the eyes.

So when the vendor closed- we thought the "Davis" was done. But we were wrong. Once the world began to reopen so did the possibilities of re-creating a suit that we felt was worthy to play homage to the on stage heroine.

The “Davis” is a classic double breasted cut silhouette made of checkered black and white cotton with gold button details on the front and at the cuff. It is fully lined with our signature leopard print silk. And pockets of course- not only at the sides but also on the top front panel.

The trousers are a wide leg cut AND she also comes with a coordinating waistcoat as well as a bermuda style short option if that is more so your style!
