As a Designer and Style Strategist, I take pleasure in working with each and every one of my clients. Some retained for years. Some for special events but each with individual needs, lifestyles and personalities. Forecasting is all apart of the fun and even better when I find that my predictions are often pretty spot on.
When it comes to style strategy, I emphasize many different points but today I want to highlight a few when it comes to following trends. But before I do- Fall is finally here and has me feeling a bit generous. This style guide is meant to a be reference tool and even comes with a few style notes on how to properly pair items together. Who knows? FIRST- FOR THE TIPS:
1. Remember the importance of sustainability and versatility in style is to consider how many different ways you can wear an item and how you can get the most out of your wardrobe. This isn't always easy and sometimes you may just need a fresh pair of eyes (me of course😏) to come in and show you what hidden gems you already have and just can't see.
2. Invest in quality pieces. This is why I specialize in custom made designs (insert buzz word) aka slow fashion. Investing in items that will last you a long time will save you time (less shopping) and money in the long run. Also quality doesn't have to mean expensive. Bring balance into your budget with my hi-lo equation (again something I can teach you more one to one ;)
3. Every trend is not meant for you. Once you can identify your personal style- then its much easier to shop not only your closet but online, in-store or whatever your preference while feeling less overwhelmed. You'll be able to know which trend is best for you and how you can personalize it even for your professional brand.
